Teaching Life In The Classroom.

East Palestine City Schools was awarded a grant from the Education Revolution Association to implement the Life Discovery Classroom. The Team Workforce team leads it.

The Skills That Make Every Other Skill Count.

The Life Discovery Classroom is a curriculum developed by the Education Revolution Association, a nonprofit working to make sure every student has access to life and success skills education. It is built for high school students and offered free to pilot schools, with ongoing professional development for the teachers who deliver it.

The course runs across more than 100 instructional days in five core modules: Creative Problem Solving, Establishing and Achieving Goals, Self-Management, Growth Mindset and Leadership, and Presence and Influence. Students lead Life Discovery Interviews with guests from all walks of life, then reflect on how those stories apply to their own path. Interactive assessments help each student understand their strengths, preferences, and communication style, and connect them to the careers and credentials that fit.

Three Pillars.

Self And Career Discovery
Students learn who they are, what they are good at, and which pathways match, then take real steps toward them.
Understanding Of Others
Communication, collaboration, and trust building, practiced in the room rather than described on a slide.
Maximizing Individual Potential
Goal setting, time management, strategic planning, and the growth mindset to keep going when the first plan does not work.

The Classroom In Numbers.

  • 100+ instructional days in the curriculum

How It Works At East Palestine High School.

  1. The District Brings The Grant

East Palestine City Schools secured the Education Revolution Association grant, which provides the curriculum and teacher development at no cost to the district.

  2. Team Workforce Leads The Room

Our team delivers the Life Discovery Classroom in the building, alongside the district’s own staff, so the course is a part of the school day rather than an add-on.

  3. Discovery Connects To Credentials

As students identify their strengths and interests, we connect them to the industry-recognized credentials, work-based learning, and apprenticeship pathways that Team Workforce delivers.

  4. The District Sees The Results

Engagement, credential attainment, and graduation pathway progress are tracked and reported to the district, so the school can see what the classroom is doing for its students.
